Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor has issued a legal notice to YouTuber Raginyy, who poked fun at remarks made by the actress in one of her videos. The notice asserts that Raginyy's video had a detrimental impact on Sonam Kapoor's reputation, her husband Anand Ahuja, and their associated fashion brands. Notably, Sonam Kapoor has joined forces with a legal team to proactively address defamatory content, online harassment, and adverse reviews on the internet.

Raginyy shared the legal notice on her Instagram and YouTube accounts, dubbing the actor as "She who must not be named." The notice clarifies that the disputed content belongs to Ms. Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and was illegally uploaded. In addition, the notice warns Raginyy to delete the post and refrain from permitting her platform for such activities, or else Sonam Kapoor may take "necessary action to safeguard her reputation." Raginyy, whose video allegedly led to the notice, explained that her content focused on statements made by Sonam Kapoor, emphasizing that she defended the actor more than she criticized her.

As news of the legal notice spread on social media, many users came to Raginyy's defense, arguing that the roast video was not "offensive." Sonam Kapoor, who recently represented India at UK-India Week 2023, is known for her participation in diverse projects, including her recent digital debut in the film 'Blind,' which aimed to shed light on the life of visually impaired individuals and give marginalized voices a platform.
